Olivia graduated from Douglas J Institute in 2019 and has loved Aveda products ever since. She has a particular passion for helping guests embrace their natural hair pattern, whatever that may be. She takes pride in the relationships she builds with her guests and always strives to make her guests feel as comfortable and taken care of as possible. Olivia loves to tackle big challenges with transformative colors or haircuts! Liz graduated from Douglas J Aveda in Grand Rapids in 2022, and completed our advanced training curriculum shortly after. Her sweet and kind nature, along with her attentiveness and thoroughness, will make you feel special and cared for throughout your entire visit. Liz believes that the key to healthy and beautiful hair is a great at-home hair care routine & she loves to share her knowledge with her guests to help them achieve their hair goals. With her expertise and creativity, she can create a look that's perfect for your unique personality, and can work with all hair types and textures.

An Aveda professional since 2013, Emily loves vibrant customized color, foiling & balayage, and creative cutting. She's been with Aveda her entire career because of her confidence in her ability to create any look with the Aveda color and product lines. She has taken countless advanced academy courses, has served as our in-house color educator, is classically trained in Vidal Sassoon, and is certified in I-Tip, K-Tip, Tape-In, and Volume Weft Extension methods with Bellami. Emily is sure to create a gorgeous look for you while teaching you how to create the same effect at home!

Behind the chair since 2000, Melissa has a great sense of humor and loves to express herself through her creativity. Melissa guides her clients on how to achieve simple and effortless beauty in their hair, with an at home regimen tailored to their lifestyles. Being a stylist in NYC in the past and styling celebrities such as Sarah Jessica Parker and Keri Russell, Melissa truly learned to design a perfect look for any client, regardless of profession.

Rachel has been behind the chair cutting & coloring since 2005 & is with us at Legato for one week each month, spending the rest of her month in New York. From classic to funky, she can do it all, while making you feel at home in her chair. Some of her many talents here include special event styling, along with color and cutting services. A cancer survivor, Rachel has been active in her community serving on the DDA Board.

A professional since 2017, Sam graduated from Douglas J Aveda Institute and Legato's advanced training program. She brings an organic approach behind the chair, specializing in creating multi-dimensional hair colors, blonding techniques, and precision razor cuts. Sam's commitment goes beyond merely styling hair; she strives to empower her clients to embrace and enhance their unique features. Whether it's a transformative change or a subtle enhancement, Sam's goal is to make you feel like the most confident and authentic version of yourself.
